A delicious and easy walnut pie recipe with orange glaze!- without eggs and fat (fasting recipe)
- 150 g honey
- 150 g granulated sugar
- 190 ml fresh orange juice
- 200 g ground walnuts
- 3 tbsp brandy
- 230 g all purpose flour
- zest of an orange
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground clove
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 300 g powdered sugar (for the glaze)

In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, clove, baking soda and cinnamon..
In a separate bowl whisk together honey, sugar and orange juice. Make sure that honey and sugar are completely dissolved.
Mix in the brandy and the orange zest.
Add the flour mixture in two additions. Whisk until completely incorporated.
Using a spatula, scrape the sides of your bowl and fold in the walnuts
Pour the mixture into a paper lined baking pan (32cm / 12.6” pan diameter). Smooth it with a spatula.
Bake in a preheated oven, at 180⁰C / 350⁰F for 30 to 35 min until a skewer comes out clean.
Place it on a wire rack to cool down and prepare the glaze.
Mix together powdered sugar, orange zest and some orange juice.
Pour the glaze over the pie and enjoy!
